2017 Results

With the dust just settled on an amazing Signature Surf and Skate WP Championships, I would like to again thank the folks who made it all happen.

Firstly to Ivan from Signature Surf and Skate, thanks for your ongoing support and extremely generous donation of prizes for the event.

To the WP Committee, thanks for all the hard work behind the scenes and making sure things happened ( Darren, Charmaine, Chereé, Paul, Milo &George)

A special thanks to George Bunting for firstly organising the magic trophies, and secondly, for the time and effort put into improving and coaching our junior surfers. The young folk are the future of longboarding and they are certainly in good hands!

To Leaf IT, for donating a laptop to the club, and for providing tech support, data and wi-fi  for the weekend, many thanks. In this respect, I need to also thank Darren for all the work in getting Live Heats up and running for this event. It really made a difference and is the way forward.

To Sport ‘n Surf, thank you for the kind donation of prizes for the Single Fin Division, a welcome addition to the contest.

Thanks to our team of Judges, you are often overlooked, but always a very important part of the Club.

Being able to utilise the facilities of Milnerton Surf Lifesaving Club was brilliant and thanks to Arnie for organising at short notice. A perfect venue for the weekend.

To all the division winners & Finalists congratulations!!
And finally, to the moms, dads, families and friends a massive thank you for being a part of our longboarding family, for the early morning beach duties and for supporting all of the contestants – We appreciate all of the hours that go in behind the scenes.

The Committee are focusing on preparations for the SA Champs to be held at Lamberts Bay next year and the first trial to select the WP team will commence in Jan 2018.
